Bruno Detournay

Bruno Detournay has worked for over 30 years in the field of health economics and health economic evaluation. Now an independent consultant, Bruno Detournay led or co-led for over 15 years one of the main players in this field in France (CEMKA). In this context, he has carried out and coordinated more than 500 studies in most nosological areas. These research projects, commissioned by numerous national and international institutions and by the pharmaceutical and biomedical device industry, have resulted to date in over 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals. A long-time member of the College of Health Economists (formerly Vice-President in charge of relations with professional stakeholders), the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, and numerous other learned societies, Bruno Detournay has also contributed to numerous teaching programs in health economics (University Paris-Dauphine, Paris, University René Descartes, Paris, University Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, University Créteil Val de Marne, Créteil, Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, Paris, etc.). A Doctor of Medicine (University Paris VI - Pierre et Marie Curie), holder of a diploma from ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) and the ESSEC-Health Chair, Bruno Detournay also has expertise in health in developing countries and a DESS in Economics and Management of Health Systems (University Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne).
