Benjamin Slinger

I participated in the redesign of the "Home Targuet" website (a platform connecting real estate agents and individuals). Specifically, I developed the entire front-end of the platform using VUE.JS and BOOTSTRAP. The back-end was in Laravel, and my job was to develop and integrate VUE.JS components into the PHP templates, in addition to managing CSS with Bootstrap.

In a friendly atmosphere, I worked remotely in collaboration with the back-end developer, the UX designer/manager, and the UI designer.

During this project, I had the pleasure of discovering the VUE.JS framework in depth, similar in operation to REAC.JS, with which I already had good experience.

I worked on 2 websites sharing the same backend. The first is a camping comparator that has existed for about ten years. The work done mainly involved maintenance and bug fixing. The second is a hotel comparator that has been under development for a little over a year. As the two sites are very similar, they share the same code and the same data import processes. The main part of the work on the hotel comparator involved adding new data feeds and new types of hotel-related data.

I worked for 2 years in the "web component" team of the TV department on the redesign of the Proximus TV website; culminating in the launch of PICKX.BE on 06/13/2019.

I was responsible for setting up the new development and production infrastructure for my team. I learned to configure PHP7, NGINX, and PM2 on all our servers using ANSIBLE. I also implemented our CI/CD on the team's GITLAB and a monitoring system using an ELASTICSTACK (LOGSTASH, FILEBEAT, KIBANA, ELASTICSERACH).

In addition to being responsible for server configuration and management, I participated in the creation of various JAVASCRIPT components and the development of the PROXY exposing their data. The JAVASCRIPT components were developed in REACTJS while our backend ran on EXPRESSJS.
