SAFO Group is a food distribution and logistics group operating in the Antilles and French Guiana. The company manages the entire supply chain, from international sourcing to distribution through its store networks. It has 1,000 to 5,000 employees and works with over 2,000 suppliers.

I participated in the overhaul of the group's B2B ordering platform within a product organization composed of 3 development teams (~15 developers) with PO, PM, and QA.

I joined the front-end team (2 leads, 3 developers).

My responsibilities:

- Development of the platform's interfaces and UI logic.

- Optimization of the shopping cart and GraphQL queries.

- Implementation of an offline-first architecture (PWA) for a catalog of over 100,000 products.

- Implementation of optimistic UI and local cache to improve application responsiveness.

- Collaboration with product, backend, and QA teams to ensure functional consistency and product quality.

Impact:

- Loading time for large shopping carts reduced from approximately 3 seconds to near-instantaneous user interaction thanks to front-end optimizations and offline caching.

I participated in the implementation of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) within the group's e-commerce ecosystem.

The DPP is a measure intended to become a European regulatory obligation, ensuring product traceability and compliance throughout their life cycle.

My responsibilities:

- Integration of the Digital Product Passport into the group's Shopify ecosystem.

- Development of Node.js services for retrieving and processing traceability data.

- Consumption of a blockchain via GraphQL API to retrieve product-related information.

- Participation in the design and integration of technical flows necessary for DPP deployment.

Project objective:

- Prepare the integration of the Digital Product Passport across the LVMH ecosystem, in anticipation of European regulatory obligations.

I participated in setting up a large-scale e-commerce data collection and processing infrastructure to feed the platform's AI models.

My responsibilities:

Multi-store Shopify integration to collect data related to purchasing behavior.

Design of data flows connected to AI recommendation engines.

Development of Node.js services for data ingestion and processing.

Implementation of a scalable, resilient, and observable AWS cloud architecture.

Structuring data pipelines to ensure the reliability and quality of the information used.
