Essor des Entreprises is an application that supports a patented management control method for VSEs and SMEs.

For my client's needs, I set up and organized the development of an API based on api-platform (Symfony 4) and a ReactJS client in collaboration with an offshore provider.

Initially, I worked exclusively on the API and the technical management of the project. Since July 2019, I have taken back control of the ReactJS client, which now occupies most of my time in refactoring, with the addition of hooks and Typescript to facilitate evolution and maintenance.

I am also in charge of hosting this product, from server deployment via cloud-init to production releases in CD via gitlab.

Static analysis (PHPStan/Psalm) of the API as well as Javascript builds are also automated on my private Gitlab instance.

I was hired at Zap to replace its founder, and there I had the opportunity to initiate the Squareboard project. After a discussion with one of the shareholders, I laid the groundwork for the project, relying on PostgreSQL's TS vectors system, which then became the internal search, recommendation, and filtering engine of the tool.

The tool, visible at squareboard.com, is an enterprise social network, although it was originally designed as a productivity tool. Driven by our two historical clients, the product evolved drastically during my time at Zap, where I became the sole developer and, in practice, CTO.

As the application was based on a 10-year-old framework when I arrived, I had to evolve old PHP4 classes into a real object-oriented architecture based on PHP5, while maintaining the operational foundation around an in-house ORM entirely based on PostgreSQL. I also had to add an API to this web-only system to work with an externally developed mobile application.

Squareboard has since been relaunched in v2, for which I created a series of micro-services, and even though the product no longer relies on tags as originally designed, the search engine that ensured the transition, and is still in use today, still uses my PostgreSQL stemming implementation.

Squareboard's clients include Luxaviation Group, the world's second-largest private jet operator, and CDCL, Luxembourg's leading construction company.

My first real experience as a freelancer. I spent a year working with various agencies in the country, mainly developing WordPress sites and Facebook games. Nothing remarkable in my opinion :)
