Bastien Déjardin

Currently an engineering student at **Polytechnique Montréal**, I am looking for Data Science missions 2 to 3 days a week.

Passionate about computer science, I have undergone rigorous training (preparatory classes, **Mines School**, and double degree) where I specialized in various branches of artificial intelligence: **Machine/Deep Learning, NLP/LLM/Generative AI, Computer Vision**...

You can count on mymotivation**, **rigor**, and **solid knowledge**. I benefit from training at the **second-best Computer Science school in Canada**, and from a school in the **Mines Télécomnetwork.

I have also developed my skills through freelance missions and internships, notably last year in NLP and Machine Learning at **Safran Landing Systems**, where I analyzed commercial contracts and created a search engine/RAG for them.

I also participate in teamHackathons**, including **two wins**. In late 2024, the one organized by the **National Bank of Canada, Amazon Web Services**, and the Polytechnique finance committee (160+ participants), with a financial market analysis tool linking Generative AI and KPI visualization. And in early 2024, the one by **ArianeGroupand the IMT and TUM group (Franco-German partnership), with a visualization/prediction tool for Ariane 6 booster transport.

I also won the best AI use award at the University of Montreal Hackathon in March (photo of the fridge -> healthy recipe suggestions).

I also regularly participate in Kaggle competitions.

My experience in hackathons and concrete projects has allowed me to develop a pragmatic and effective approach. I am also capable of quickly learning the necessary tools for production tailored to your needs.
