Execution: support site managers.

To support the client in its development and the search for new clients, a methods engineer position was created.

The goal was to make tenders more reliable and optimized so that they would be fairer and more reliable (no bad surprises during execution if the project was won) and attractive to the client (better documented, drawn, more precise).

In the execution phase, the client wanted to prepare the sites before they were handed over to a site manager who took over the file shortly before the site opening. I then prepared procedures, layouts, equipment lists, lifting equipment...

Support a company in full development and methods support for scaling up projects

The company has experienced a sharp increase in workload over the last 10 years (from 100 to 1500 cabins per ship and from 1 to 3 projects per year) without structuring or implementing management tools: management was carried out based on the experience of the managers and not on factual and real indicators and records.

Based on the existing system and new tools deployed by Chantiers de l'Atlantique, I implemented a tool to constantly know the project's progress, its overall performance (to evaluate assembly profitability), and calculate the workload/capacity until the end of the project.

General Electric in Montoir de Bretagne assembles offshore wind turbines (Haliade 150 then Haliade X). For the assembly of Haliade X, GE decided to expand its site and outsource the assembly of 3 modules assembled by GIE Gestal / ADF ex-situ.

This module was assembled on-site before being subcontracted; their process was analyzed to create a lesson learned and deploy new assembly methods to optimize assembly performance while respecting quality policy.

The methods team was reinforced by two technicians to update the operating procedures (approximately 150) based on production feedback and client design changes (approximately 10-20 per month).

Methods / Industrialization Manager for the assembly of the Haliade X transformer module (General Electric offshore wind turbine) in ex-situ subcontracting from contract signing following a tender to its physical deployment and the release of the first modules.

In the upstream phase, I defined the assembly operations, their order, and the constraints of each of these 150 operations.

I was thus able to define the necessary tooling for the workstation: from small tools to hydraulic tightening units (torque and yield strength).

I also managed two technicians responsible for updating operating procedures and monitoring client design changes.
