Baptiste Escoffier

Baptiste started taking piano lessons at 13 and quickly discovered a passion for composition. At 18, he enrolled in a Music Culture program at the Edgar Varèse Conservatory, taking courses in writing and music history with Thierry Bouchet. He completed this program in 2022, after 3 years of writing, analysis, music history, and musical training, and became a writing laureate for his composition 'Le Chat d’Argent' (The Silver Cat), a tale set to music for Harp and Guitar.

In 2021, he released his first song, 'Le Parc' (The Park), performed by Louise Visseaux, then a student at EPAS, on vocals. The same year, he produced the six songs for Louise's first EP, 'Je m’élance' (I'm taking off), and accompanied the singer on piano for the song 'Sourire' (Smile).

In 2022, he recorded and released a second track, 'Tout Doit Disparaître' (Everything Must Disappear), this time with Jeanne Froger on vocals, and several students from the Professional School of Performing Arts in the choir.

In 2023, he partnered with Estelle Gauthier, a professional actress and singer, to form the duo 'La Caisse à Oublis' (The Forgetfulness Box), performing covers of lyrical songs, arranged for piano and voice. The same year, the duo gave its first concert, during which Baptiste's new song 'Si ça vous embête' (If it bothers you) was premiered.
