As an IT Support Technician at Hemmersbach, I work in field service directly with large, internationally operating clients. I am responsible for on-site support of the IT infrastructure within the scope of 1st and 2nd level support and am the central point of contact for end-user IT-related concerns.

My responsibilities include:

• Analysis and resolution of hardware and software issues on clients, notebooks, printers, and mobile devices

• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of workplace systems

• Execution of hardware rollouts, IMAC processes (Install, Move, Add, Change), and workstation relocations

• Support in the setup and management of user accounts (e.g., Active Directory)

• Collaboration with central IT teams and escalation of complex issues to 3rd level support

• Maintenance of technical documentation and work in the ticketing system in compliance with defined SLAs

The field service activity requires a high degree of independence, technical know-how, and a service-oriented approach. Through direct customer contact, I have been able to further develop and consolidate my communication skills and my solution-oriented actions.

IT Specialist System Integration – Professional Qualification

As part of my professional qualification as an IT Specialist for System Integration, I worked in the virtualization department. My focus was on the configuration, management, and maintenance of virtualized IT infrastructures. I worked with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, assisted with the migration of physical systems into virtual environments, and optimized existing virtual infrastructures in terms of performance and availability.

Additionally, my responsibilities included monitoring virtual systems, error analysis, and the implementation of security and backup concepts. Through close collaboration with other IT departments, I was able to deepen my knowledge in network technologies, server administration, and IT security, and successfully apply it in practical projects.

Apprenticeship as IT Specialist System Integration

During my apprenticeship as an IT Specialist for System Integration, I gained comprehensive practical experience in various IT departments.

I started in the Service Desk and 2nd Level Support, where I assisted users with technical problems, analyzed issues, and provided solutions independently or in collaboration with specialist departments.

In Software Packaging, I was responsible for creating, testing, and deploying standardized software packages, particularly within automated distribution processes.

In Workplace Services (WPS), I managed workplace systems, installed and configured end devices, assisted with rollouts, and ensured their smooth operation.

In the SharePoint department, I was involved in the administration, maintenance, and customization of SharePoint environments, including permissions and user management.

In the Windows department, I worked on the administration of Windows servers and clients, assisted with updates, patch management, and Active Directory tasks.

Finally, in the network department, I gained knowledge in LAN, WAN, routing, switching, as well as basic firewall and security concepts.

This broad-based training provided me with a deep understanding of the interrelationships of modern IT infrastructures and optimally prepared me for work in IT support and system administration.
