Development of a search interface for a Buddhist document database

As part of a mission for an organization dedicated to the collection and digitization of Buddhist documents, I was tasked with developing a proof of concept for a search interface for their new database using Elasticsearch / OpenSearch. The goal was to enable intuitive and efficient navigation among thousands of stored documents.

To meet this need, I implemented a ReactJS interface using the Searchkit and React-InstantSearch libraries to facilitate data search and filtering. The interface includes facets (dynamic filters), an interactive search bar, and optimized search results for a smooth user experience.

Before starting development, I conducted a thorough review to ensure that the suggested libraries met the project's requirements in terms of performance and flexibility. I then collaborated closely with a UX designer, a backend developer, and the Product Owner to ensure that the interface met the end-users' expectations while aligning with the organization's objectives.

As part of a mission for a director, I was tasked with scraping a person's posts from various forums. The objective of this mission was to collect, aggregate, and format the data in a way that would make it usable for a UI/UX developer working on data visualization.

To accomplish this task, I used powerful tools such as Python, Selenium, and BeautifulSoup. These technologies allowed me to automate the extraction of relevant information from multiple online sources while respecting the complex structures of the forums. I then cleaned and structured this data so that it could be easily interpreted, while ensuring its consistency for integration into a visualization solution.
