- LucampersDevelopment of GPS update softwareAUTOMOBILEFebruary 2023 - October 2023 (8 months)The company Lucampers contacted me to port their GPS update software, Lucampers Express, which only worked on Windows, to macOS and Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) operating systems. After reverse engineering the existing software 🔄, I programmed this new software capable of:* Detecting GPS on different operating systems 🌐* Downloading updates via an HTTPS link 📥* Verifying the integrity of updates using a hashing function (MD5) 🔒* Decompressing updates onto the GPS 📂The curl, openssl, libzip, and wxWidgets libraries were used in the development of the software. To build the different versions, I opted for the vcpkg and CMake combination. 🔧🛠️ The software has been signed and is now distributed on the company's website. ✅🌍This experience allowed me to develop skills in cross-platform programming, the use of various libraries, and complex project management. 🚀
