Sound engineer and pianist, Tristan Aubert first trained at the Gabriel Fauré Conservatory (Angoulême) and Arcadie (Poitiers) before developing a broader passion for the sonic universe. He then joined the BTS Audiovisual – Sound program in Angoulême, and later combined his work with visual arts by entering the Master's program in Cinema – Documentaries and Archives at the University of Bordeaux Montaigne.
He refined his sound recording and mixing techniques in various institutions such as the Opéra National de Bordeaux, Planipresse (Paris), Hesat Recordings (Pessac), Cerema (Bordeaux) before working independently for various audiovisual productions: Opéra Nabucco (Soirées Lyriques de Sanxay), SudOuest (Bordeaux), Madamieur (Ec'Art association), The Dream Factory (Avignon).
On the video side, after a study documentary on the Citroën 2CV, he became a director of music videos and institutional films in 2018 with Utopia Collectif Cinéma, where he notably collaborated with Bordeaux Métropole on the creation of a natural park. He taught video editing at the University of Bordeaux during the 2020/2021 academic year.
