▪ Prepare, reconcile and analyze monthly consolidated reporting with financial inputs from multiple sources and systems. ▪ Ensure donor requirements from a compliance perspective are presented and articulated from the onset of the proposal development process and stakeholders are advised on the implications of these requirements for implementation.

▪ Review donor guidelines/contracts and partner requirements/agreements for early identification & mitigation of any risks that could impact chances of a successful application/contract. Ensure the financial terms and conditions are compatible with Plan International's systems and are favorable to quality implementation and reporting. ▪ Maintain oversight of financial health of projects, developing strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize financial and compliance risk. ▪ Provide training and ongoing support to relevant stakeholders including Canadian project team members, Plan field offices and partners on understanding donor financial compliance, anticipating financial risks and other best practices related to budget development and contract negotiations. ▪ Respond to donor/partner questions and requests during proposal development and contracting stages as it relates to budgeting, compliance, and financial processes and risks. ▪ Contributing to the continuous improvement of financial management processes and training staff on risk, fraud, and corruption.

▪ Lead a team of four accountants, providing technical guidance and compliance oversight to the Business Development portfolio. Provide oversight and coordinate the development of budget sections for funding applications. Guide the team in completing, reviewing, and obtaining approvals for internal contracts with partners. ▪ Managed emergency grants (COVID-19, ) exceeding €31,000,000 ▪ Coordinated the accounting and financial activities of the management unit; ▪ Ensured compliance with procedures according to Global Fund grant agreements and Plan International procedures; ▪ Successful submission of financial reports (PUDR) with high performance ratings achieved during the implementation of NFM2 and NFM3. Additionally, external missions were conducted smoothly with minimal financial observations, demonstrating strong compliance and efficiency.

▪ Reviewed budget proposals from field teams and partners, providing final validation for disbursement files, financial reports, and other requests prior to submission to the Country Finance Manager or Financial Controller for approval. ▪ Design and implementation of budget monitoring tools and shared cost calculation systems in accordance with Plan International guidelines. ▪ Participation in the development and negotiation of Global Fund grants (NFM1 , NFM2, NFM3) as well as grants from other donors of Plan International. ▪ Proactively identify areas of process improvement through feedback and analysis, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to enhance financial operations ▪ Participate in audits, reviews, and regulatory inquiries as required.
