This project aims to offer Hellenists a digital version of Anatole Bailly's Greek-French dictionary, which is a reference work. It was carried out by two people and depends on another project that mobilized about forty people around the digitization and revision of the fourth edition of "Bailly", which is now in the public domain.

My involvement covers all aspects of the realization of this project, from identifying the need to deploying the application and communicating about it. Some aspects of the work provided:

- communication with the team in charge of the initial digitization;

- identification of required functionalities and design of mockups;

- study of the problems posed by the conversion to an SQLite database of the dictionary provided by the aforementioned team in TeX format;

- co-creation of a Node.js/Express REST API;

- complete creation of a Vue.js interface;

- deployment of the client on GitHub (via Travis CI) and the server on Heroku;

- communication about the application to associations and universities.

This project involves handling rich data (polytonic Greek and Hebrew texts, linguistic signs, etc.) and a relatively large volume (approximately 110,000 entries). Another major aspect lies in the implementation of Greek input, which must be as simple as possible for the user. To this end, the application manipulates several representations of Greek texts, allowing for convenient searching of dictionary entries from a Latin keyboard.

Over 50,000 visitors and 350,000 pages viewed monthly (October 2023).
