Anouk Van Halsema

I create illustrations and designs for various purposes, from publications and branding to digital media, merchandise, and other creative applications. I focus on both commercial and personal projects.

My expertise lies primarily with Procreate and Adobe Photoshop. I often use a combination of the two, or combine digital with traditional work. I create illustrations for various print materials such as posters, cards, and stickers, but also for digital purposes. I also enjoy designing with branding in mind, such as illustrating and designing beer labels. All my work is handmade; I consider this very important.

I would describe my own style as atmospheric, organic, playing with light and color contrasts. I love the use of linework, (broken) frames, and creative typography. On the other hand, a soft, painterly style also appeals to me, depending on the purpose of the image. Incorporating photography into my images is also among my skills.

I believe in telling a story with an illustration/design that fits the purpose of the final product. I am happy to discuss this with you to deliver the best possible result that meets your wishes.
