Interim Procurement Director for the industrial launch of an electronic temperature variation sensor for trains and vehicles for Trane Technologies. The end customer was Norflok Southern Railway or Union Pacifica. Collaboration for the final product was with Trane Technology and Thermoking with a 5-year contract.

The project was significant as it allowed for doubling OTC Engineering's annual revenue. It was also a high economic risk project due to the upfront investment for the final product development and, especially, the cash flow needed for the anticipated 18-month supply of critical components.
The industrialization was launched according to the defined schedule, and the first six months of manufacturing proceeded without part shortages.
With the team, we identified cost improvements over 1 year with 8-10% savings on components and a positive return on investment calculation over 2 years.
