Description

I've been drawing and painting since I was old enough to hold a pencil, and feel bad if a day goes by without creating something. I strive to constantly learn, improve and add to my skills. In October 2011, my life was turned upside down by a major stroke. I lost my job, had to fight and go through tribunals for every pathetic bit of benefit I receive. I need to create, and you need a creator. I'm learning Procreate, and loving it, but also have over 45 years of traditional art behind behind me. I can work to a variety of styles, and years in education and the Civil Service, have taught me discretion, responsiveness and how to follow a brief. I'm brand new to this site, and hope that you will be the first to give me a chance.

Having been a supporting member of Riverhaven Elderly Cat Welfare since its beginnings, I was asked by the owners to illustrated the cover of a memory book to commemorate the charity's 10th anniversary. I painted two cat portraits, one of William, the first rescue cat,and one of their then oldest resident, Garfield. This was the second time I had worked for the charity, having produced some notecards a few years previous.
