Project: Assistance mission for the implementation of a Data Warehouse

➤ Understanding the existing system

o Familiarization with Talend DI jobs and code review

o Correction and optimization of existing Talend DI jobs

o Optimization of the data model for fast, reliable, and consistent reporting

➤ Implementation of the "Atlas" Data Warehouse

o Coordination with the Product Owner on project scope

o Clarification of functional requirements in conjunction with Business Analysis

o Preparation and participation in brainstorming, follow-up, and steering meetings

o Assistance in drafting technical-functional specifications

o Assistance in creating the schedule and estimating effort

o Development of Talend DI jobs following the standard process (POC, Development, Testing, and Production Deployment)

o Writing technical documentation

o Performing the Production Deployment phase (publication on Nexus, versioning management, deployment on TAC, and job scheduling)

➤ Ensuring the evolutionary maintenance of the Data Warehouse

o Production monitoring, handling of fixes and updates

o Non-regression testing after updates

o Writing delivery and operational documentation

o Administration of TAC (Talend Administration Center)

o Anticipating future evolution and proposing short-term and long-term improvement solutions

o Participation in maintenance operations for the Talend DI environment (TAC and Studio updates, patch installation, GitLab and Nexus configurations, etc.)

Technical environment: Talend V8 (Studio DI and Talend Data Administration), GitLab, Nexus, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Windows Server 2019, JIRA

Project: Ensure the build and run of the BI/DWH environment, from data integration from operational platforms to delivery in business reports.

o Participation in project follow-up and scoping meetings

o Participation in planning and effort estimation

o Writing Technical Specifications (STG and STD)

o Data integration with Talend Open Studio (DI)

o Development of REST Web Services using Talend Open Studio (ESB)

o Design, provision, and evolutionary maintenance of Business Object Universes

o Performing tests and acceptance

o Writing technical documentation

o Ensuring the quality and consistency of data integrated into the DWH

o Ensuring production monitoring

o Participation in the evolutionary maintenance of development environments (Servers and databases, IT security patch management, etc.)

o ETL development on SSIS

o Participation in the DWH migration project from the on-premise Microsoft environment (SSIS) to a cloud environment (Microsoft Azure)

Technical environment: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Talend Open Studio V7 (DI & ESB), Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Visual Studio Code, GitLab, Apache Tomcat, Business Object, Windows server 2016, Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse), Scrum and Kanban, FreshService ticketing tool

➤ Talend DI and ESB Development

o Study of business needs in consultation with the project manager

o Participation in effort estimation and project planning

o Project monitoring in Agile mode with the Project Manager and Business Analysis

o Participation in writing Detailed Technical Specifications

o Development of DI jobs using Talend Data Integration Studio

o Development of SOAP, REST, and Route webservices using Talend ESB studio

o Performing unit tests and tests in the Pre-production environment

o Performing acceptance testing with the project manager

o Writing test cases and acceptance test reports

o Writing technical documentation for developed solutions

o Ensuring the evolutionary maintenance of the Pre-production Talend environment (TAC, Servers, databases, SVN, Nexus)

➤ Production Deployment

o Publication of jobs on Nexus and versioning management

o Preparation of delivery documents for the operations team

o Participation in the Production Deployment phase in coordination with the operations team

o Ensuring the quality of deliverables and providing level 2 support

o Taking charge of updates and corrective patches
