Lycamobile is a British virtual mobile network operator present in 60 countries. My main mission as a sector market manager, in this case China, is to manage and support all products and offers related to the Chinese segment and to propose new projects, marketing plans and ideas aimed at the growth of the segment, and to implement them: 1. I was in charge of the overall planning, operation and management of the branch in Tanzania. I was responsible for planning a marketing strategy, conducting the corporate strategy, managing and motivating staff, training and supervising employees' performances, managing key client accounts, discovering and developing provincial agents, managing ERP system, Liaising with headquarters in China, creating sales and financial reports for the board office in China. And since the staff turnover, I also took on the additional duties of logistics manager when there was a gap in the position for two months. And within this experience, I managed to implement a Kaizen/Lean management plan for the warehouse, improve the logistical processes, and communicate with the sea forwarder about the import procedure. During this role, I successfully managed a cross-cultural and global team of 20 employees. And I managed to meet the sales targets and expand the company's business in Tanzania.
