If you need someone who can take an AI idea and turn it into something that actually runs in production, that's what I do. I design and build RAG pipelines, agentic systems and backend infrastructure that hold up under real workloads, not just in a demo.

With over 10 years as a backend engineer and cloud architect, I bring a level of engineering discipline that's often missing in AI projects: clean architecture, proper testing, systems that scale. In recent years I've focused this experience on AI engineering, working hands-on with LangChain, LangGraph, Retrieval-Augmented Generation and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to build systems that go beyond simple chatbots and genuinely automate business workflows.

On the backend side, I work with Python/FastAPI, Java and C++, deploying across GCP, AWS and Azure. This is backed by solid systems administration expertise, Linux environments, networking, infrastructure management, so I can take a project from architecture down to the servers it runs on. I've worked with clients ranging from public institutions to startups.

Beyond AI and backend, I've built blockchain applications for major players in the defense sector, and served as Technical Leader on aerospace projects funded through EU programmes, coordinating technical direction across multi-partner initiatives.

Typical projects I take on: RAG systems and AI agents for internal automation, backend architecture and API design for products that need to scale, infrastructure setup and cloud migration, and technical leadership for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Based in Rome, available remotely across Europe, with willingness to travel on-site when a project requires it.
