Amelie Lengrand

I am an architect, set designer, and visual artist. My professional background has allowed me to evolve in the following fields: architecture, set design, visual installations, and graphic arts. I have also been producing pictorial and visual works for many years, using various techniques combining drawing, collage, painting on wood, and textiles.

Graduated in architecture, I have had several experiences with architecture firms (Atelier Christian Hauvette, Randja architecture et Design) and event agencies (We Love Art, We Love Green, Pavillon Noir, Hopscotch). I also worked as a production manager with Atelier 20.12 for set design projects (Hermès, Lancôme, Lacoste…).

I then co-founded Atelier Laps with artist Sophie Paumelle, with whom I created several sculptures and installations for the windows and stores of Hermès and Printemps, as well as for Nice Côte d'Azur airport and the Musée du Quai Branly.

My three-dimensional creations also include residency projects at La Fondation Villa Lena in Italy and at the Textile Museum of Wesserling in Alsace.

Most recently, I created a suspended sculpture above the Molitor swimming pool, an interpretation of the disco ball combined with the architecture of the Molitor logo, in which colored facets diffracted natural light.

I am proficient in technical drawing, project management, and various manufacturing processes. As an independent professional, I am capable of overseeing production with different suppliers and conducting feasibility studies. I am rigorous, curious, versatile, and very sensitive to materials, textures, and colors.
