Experience

  • AIR LIQUIDE S.A.
Relational Databases and Quality Assurance Expertise
    RAW MATERIALS INDUSTRY
    September 2022 - March 2023 (7 months)
    Paris, France
    Context:
    • The 'Procurement' department (supplies for the entire AIR LIQUIDE group) uses multiple supply and supplier management systems.
    • Existing tools are disparate, geographically and by business sector.
    • The DPS (Digital Procurement Solution) project aims to migrate existing systems to a single platform (Zycus Supplier Network (ZSN)).
    • To enable this migration, a database (PostgreSQL) and an ETL (Talend) have been developed over the past two years.
    • Before launching the first version in production and to control various future evolutions, it is necessary to verify that the process remains compliant with specifications.

    Mission:
    • Ensure the quality of a database and an ETL.

    Responsibilities:
    • Compare the expected (specifications) with the actual (DB and ETL code).
    • Analyze anomalies and propose corrections (specifications or code).
    • Track corrections, refactoring, and cleanup of obsolete code (priorities, JIRA tickets, follow-up meetings).
    • Update documentation (specifications, data model and flow diagrams).
    • Propose QA and DB best practices.
    • Automate tests:
    • For each function to be tested, create test data sets (input test cases for the ETL and expected output results).
    • Each time a test campaign is launched, automatically generate reports detailing the differences between expected and obtained results.
    • Version test data sets with specifications and code.

  • Atexo
    QA Engineer
    SOFTWARE PUBLISHING
    February 2018 - February 2022 (4 years)
    Paris, France
    Context:
    • Atexo develops web platforms for the State, focused on public procurement processes for works, supplies, and/or services, for example https://www.marches-publics.gouv.fr/.
    • These platforms allow public entities to issue tenders (consultations) and companies to respond, while ensuring the legal security and transparency of procedures.
    • In terms of volume, this represents:
o 200 large public entities (ministries, regions, local authorities, ...)
o 100,000 consultations published online each year
    o 50,000 public buyers
    o 400,000 companies

    Mission:
    • To increase the pace of production releases for its products, Atexo tasked me with designing, implementing, enriching, and maintaining a new automated testing process.
    • These tests are carried out from the development phase to detect functional regressions (end-to-end scenarios) as early as possible.
    • In summary, the automated process follows these steps:
o A code merge on a 'release' branch (Gitlab) triggers the build of a product snapshot or RC, then its deployment on a dedicated platform.
o Once the deployment is successful, a test campaign is launched via Jenkins.
o Results are produced in JUnit and PDF formats.
    • Based on the results, it is necessary to ensure:
o Tracking via JIRA of bugs/corrections/evolutions with the R&D team.
    o Maintenance of test scenarios.
    • This represents, on average, 5 campaigns per day, each including:
    • 50 scenarios on web interfaces (approximately 10,000 actions in 1 hour).
    • 20 scenarios on APIs (RESTful web services).
