Formerly an editorial assistant and e-learning pedagogical manager, I chose to become self-employed to give full rein to the breadth of my professional skills, which cover text translation and editing, as well as illustration.
EDITING/PROOFREADING/REVIEW
With a master's degree in publishing and book trades, I have been involved in the concrete realization of several projects, both individual and collective, some in partnership with institutions (Rennes libraries, the Lima House of Literature…).
Within Nathan publishing house, I was in charge of a collection that required organization and rigor, as well as an excellent command of the French language and orthotypographical rules. From manuscript to final proof, texts intended for teachers and students had to be impeccably edited and proofread, both in terms of content and form.
TRANSLATION
I am bilingual (French/Spanish) and hold a master's degree in Hispanic and Latin American studies (research specialization).
My thesis, written entirely in Spanish, received honors from the jury and was published by Pasacalle editions in Peru. As a translator of novels, collections of texts, and websites, I have lived in Spain and regularly communicate with my professional contacts in Peru and Brazil.
ARTS/ILLUSTRATION
After a professional course in digital and analog photography at the École Supérieure des Métiers Artistiques, I obtained the CAP photographer qualification. In addition, I have been practicing drawing since childhood and have self-taught digital painting techniques to broaden my skill set. I have illustrated covers and interior pages of novels as well as 'mooks' (a mook is a hybrid publication, somewhere between a magazine, a journal, and a book).
