Alexandre Versmee

Following my internship in my first year at Epitech, I created my sole proprietorship to maintain the website of E2C Grand Hainaut. I also carried out some other services for various clients.

Achievements:

- Maintenance of the website for the Grand Hainaut Second Chance School

- Update of an E-commerce website based on the Prestashop solution

- Creation of a static HTML/CSS website.

Within a team of 12 people, including 8 developers, the goal of the project was to create a new tool to manage the referencing of Kiabi's clothing collections. Having the right product in the right quantity in the right place.

The complexity was to develop this new application while keeping the old one functional and replacing the features one by one.

I also had the opportunity to have a first experience as a Scrum Master (managing developer activity, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily meetings, ...)

Achievements:

- Creation of several APIs (microservices) to centralize business rules

- Creation of 2 Angular applications

- Creation of a Spring Batch reading a CSV and enriching data before persisting it in the database

- Use of Kafka within a distributed system architecture, part of which aimed to process 1 million lines

Within SNCF - CDS Proximité based in Tourcoing, composed of about 70 employees, I worked on their in-house JavaScript framework to add a business monitoring module.

Achievements:

Independent development with the supervision of my tutor and with the help of the people who developed the framework.

Development of a project POC with their in-house JavaScript framework, allowing for rapid development and deployment. Once the POC was completed, the project was redeveloped within this framework so that each application based on this tool could benefit from it.

Technical Environment:

Languages: JavaScript (Ractive, NodeJS, Express) - Redis - MongoDB - Message Queue

Methods: Implementation of certain parts of agile methods. Weekly feedback on project progress, daily meetings.
