Alexandra Altomonte

With a degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, Sociology, and Publishing, I work as a freelance graphic designer, layout artist, and publisher alongside my job as a copy editor for a press agency.

I am particularly interested in the humanities, as well as culture, current events, and genre literature, especially science fiction.

I have volunteer experience in the publishing field (notably with the association Plus cérébrale que nous, tumeur! at Le cherche-midi editions), as well as in communication (managing Instagram, creating communication materials) and human resources management as a board member of the association Senyu. I also have publishing experience from a 6-month contract with Mame editions, and I currently handle copy editing and layout for several magazines for the Tema group.

I would be pleased to discuss and collaborate with you in the following areas:

- Graphic Design: Creation of web and print communication materials (posters, flyers, illustrations for merchandise and other stimulating projects!).

- Layout: Page layout respecting French typographic standards for magazines, books, and other materials.

- Editorial follow-up to final approval: Text work in coordination with authors, copy preparation, proofreading in coordination with the proofreader, checking the cover, spine, and back cover, writing the back cover copy.

- Text rewriting: Literary texts, communication materials, meeting summaries, etc.

- Manuscript critical reading: Annotated reading, analysis in five axes (plot, universe, characters, themes, style), writing critical summary sheets.

- Web writing: Writing emails, social media content, or sales pitches, summarizing press releases.
