Developed a high-performance, SEO-focused website for Mubaracare.de using Next.js, delivered within a tight one-week timeframe. The backend leverages Payload CMS hosted on Vercel, enabling the site owner to effortlessly create and manage articles and content independently.

This project demonstrates my ability to rapidly deliver performant websites with outstanding SEO optimization and user-friendly content management.

We revamped an eCommerce shop originally built on WordPress/WooCommerce, transitioning it to a modern, fast, and SEO-optimized platform tailored specifically for genetic testing services. In addition to the core genetic testing offering, we contributed to the development of a personalized supplements subscription, where the ingredients were based on customers' genetic results. The calculations for these personalized plans were handled by our backend.

The site was build with Next.js, hosted on Vercel, with a Firebase backend, and we leveraged Stripe for payment processing. Notable features included fast, modern, and visually appealing landing pages, multi-language support, user accounts, an integrated back office for managing orders, external vendor integration, and detailed analytics.

We also automated several crucial steps in the process, such as the uploading of collected genetic data, splitting it into individual samples, automatically calculating results, and sending them directly to customers.

The project was completed by a small team of two, working part-time over the course of 3 months to launch the MVP and another 3 months for feature enhancements and maintenance. We also conducted two on-site workshops with the client.

The whole shop was built by us in close collaboration with different departments (e.g. marketing, sales, r&d).

We developed a custom PDF report generator for genetic testing, designed for use by laboratory assistants. The software enabled users to input a sample ID, retrieve DNA analysis results from an internal company database, and generate personalized reports for customers. These reports provided insights into health-related traits, such as the likelihood of conditions like lactose intolerance, based on the analysis of submitted saliva samples.

The PDF reports followed the company's branding, which we designed in-house. Utilizing Electron's print-to-PDF functionality, we overcame challenges with headers, footers, page layouts, and a custom front page. The focus was on delivering a solution that emphasized speed and automation, simplifying the reporting process for lab assistants.

Although the software was used internally, the PDF reports were sent directly to customers, providing them with clear, branded results from their genetic tests.
