Description

Currently, I am interested in reproducible systems, mainly through the Nix package manager, Terraform for declaratively managing cloud infrastructure.

My profile is best described as a Software Engineer, DevOps, and Independent Researcher. I am involved in the Free/Open Source Software ecosystem, in the past I worked on a team to carry out migrations of proprietary software stacks to free software (in this case for a GIS system for water management, from the database to the frontend) and the construction of community tools for open standards communities (like the FIWARE platform).

I have contributed to the machine learning and data science community through the development of Jupyterlab extensions (most of my professional experience in React + Typescript, although the stack includes other languages and technologies). I have also contributed OpenMined C++ bindings to the PyDP library (for PPML: Privacy Preserving Machine Learning). I am willing to explore and contribute further in this space with adequate funding.

I use my artistic practice through live coding for performances and art production as a safe space to test new technologies and software management. For that reason, I am open to collaborate on art/science installations that make use of creative tools. I have a particular interest in archiving and enabling provenance from the beginning of the artistic project. These skills are transferable to other technical challenges, such as security audits and license provenance (e.g., for addressing patent troll litigation).

Most of my projects have been short timed gigs related to full stack development and web scraping with Python, Node.js , React.js and Go. The latest two are:
• Server side rendered app written in Go, MySQL and Bootstrap to manage NLP training datasets (keeping track of training pairs, producing translations and reading and generating DOCX files). The app has integration with Google AutoML API in order to train the dataset. The app UI will be refactored with React.js in order to repurpose the tool for personal NLP projects. Code repository:
