During the integration of the IAM SDK, we encountered initial technical challenges, particularly in collaboration with health insurance companies and their software development teams, which were overcome by establishing our dedicated team.
I worked on the following projects:

IAM SDK & UI Module:
During the integration of the IAM SDK and UI components, it was initially difficult to clarify responsibilities within the health insurance companies and find the necessary contacts to understand the infrastructure and successfully implement the integration.

A special team with internal developers was formed, focusing on the integration, maintenance, and updates of the SDKs. In my role as an Android specialist, I introduced the team to the technical details and ensured a smooth onboarding process.

Result: Despite the initial challenges, we successfully initiated the processes for integration, updates, and bug fixing, enabling collaboration based on these processes. The project provides valuable insights into the complex processes of working with health insurance companies, as well as valuable experience in implementing Gematik-compliant solutions.

Whitelabel App (FdV - Frontend of the Insured):
I was also involved in the development of a whitelabel app that integrates the full functionality of the IAM SDK and serves as a reference solution for health insurance companies. The app enables a rapid market launch with flexible branding options.

Result: Through the project, I gained valuable experience in how a development process is built from scratch and how complex, multi-organizational processes are managed.

In my role as an external Senior Android Developer in the Phototan App team at Comdirect, I play an active part in the continuous further development of the app. My responsibilities include expanding an agile team consisting of developers and testers to implement the app's requirements. I develop the app with Kotlin and am responsible for the technical design of user stories in the area of requirements engineering. Furthermore, I am significantly involved in the merge and build processes with Jenkins and collaborate with backend developers to successively improve the existing REST API.
I am also responsible for integrating external SDKs to extend the app's functionality. Recently, I have also been successively implementing accessibility features to adapt the application to legal requirements.

My responsibility in the project is the further development of the Android apps, the introduction of proven software principles such as Dependency Injection, and ensuring code coverage by establishing unit tests.
I am initiating migrations to introduce new standards like Hilt, the Flow API, and Jetpack Compose. Additionally, I coordinate communication between technical teams to plan the functional requirements with the Android team in Planning 2.
After the introduction of Jetpack Compose and Hilt, I supported the Android team in integrating a new internal tracking service. The integration itself proved complex due to a lack of contact persons. Furthermore, the functional requirement was not clear enough. Consequently, I initiated a planning session for the integration, where an inventory of all tasks related to the integration was recorded.
Based on this, the appropriate contact persons were contacted, clarifying any ambiguities. Subsequently, we distributed the individual tasks among the team. The integration was thus successfully completed.
