- Tech SAAS start up serving ecommerce clients.
- Within 6 months I became head of design, leading all UX & UI related activities.
- Identify problems through user interviews, data points (google analytics) and user monitoring (i.e. smartlook) then brainstorming and prototyping solutions.
- Researching design patterns, creating wireframes, finalising designs for developer handover.
- During my time here, the app has matured from a 95% uninstall rate and 3 clients, to a 30% uninstall rate, 250 clients and 5 star product rating.
- Other tasks: designing social media content, LinkedIn lead generation, community posting (Facebook groups, Reddit), customer support (live chat, emails, socials), onboarding new customers, QA testing My proudest achievement is that the vast majority of reviews single out the simplicity and ease of use and attractive interface as the reason for them using and reviewing the product. I am currently taking a UX Design course alongside my work.

In 2020 I learnt to sew and started my own business selling handmade baby accessories. As I learnt more I then went onto selling handmade baby clothing too. I ran the social media (where I found almost all of my customers), the website (Shopify store), the purchasing, the production of the products all on my own. I am completely self-taught and learnt so many new skills in doing this. I like to think my business did well - in the year that my website was open I made 600+ sales. I have recently closed temporarily in order to pursue my apprenticeship and get some formal experience and qualifications.
