Thomas Peyrou

Graduated from a work-study program in Software Engineering Management, I have been working as a PHP developer for 8 years, including 5 years specializing in the Symfony framework.

Recently settled in La Rochelle, I am currently looking for a PHP development mission (ideally on the Symfony framework) as a freelancer.

I am passionate about implementing IT projects and discussing them within a team, and I would be very happy to offer my expertise.

Overall, I am capable of:

1. quickly becoming autonomous on a project: I adapt to the project methodology as well as the existing technical infrastructure (experience: Agile, Docker, AWS cloud, Kubernetes, and various project management tools like JIRA, Redmine, etc.)

2. implementing evolutions while maintaining flexibility in the project (dependency management, in-depth analysis of the relevance of available libraries for evolution).

3. keeping the various technologies used on a PHP project up-to-date (reading release notes, writing the technology matrix, etc.).

4. reducing technical debt by improving code flexibility and robustness with a global view of the project. Ex: As I get involved in the project, I write technical specifications for potential quick refactors that reduce technical debt.

5. writing technical specifications and estimating an evolution.

6. creating modular Symfony dependencies.
