I boost literary projects from manuscript writing to editorial search at El taller Invisible. The "invisible work" of editing is the set of tasks (beta reading, proofreading and style editing, manuscript revision) so that the work reaches bookstores in the best condition.

I specialize in Literature (I hold a PhD in Contemporary Spanish Literature from the University of Kiel, Germany) and have always worked with language and writing: from teaching at universities and institutions (Central College, Iowa, or the Cervantes Institute in Hamburg) to editing and revising manuscripts in their editorial process.

Now I work with authors who want to publish their work, submit it to a competition, or self-publish it. Some publishing or self-publishing options bypass the step between writing a manuscript and its arrival in bookstores or sales platforms: desk editing. However, editing is an essential step if we want to publish any text, and in the case of literature, it can be decisive for the reading experience to be smooth and enjoyable.

After all, we read for pleasure, and it often happens that the work and talent of writers do not reach readers due to neglecting this step. A surprising plot doesn't hook us if it's narrated through syntactic repetitions or ambiguous language, if the chapters don't support the internal architecture of the work in balance, or if the characters change linguistic register from one page to another. The goal of manuscript reviewers is precisely to optimize the reading experience.
