    Seconde Maille is a textile design studio that gives a second life to textile surplus, upcycles ropes and yarn spools (deadstock) from French industries by offering unique and authentic pieces: tote bags, accessories, and home decor.
    Through various artisanal techniques: weaving, knotting, and primarily using a hacked jacquard knitting machine, Seconde Maille blends manual and digital work in its creations, produced in small series.

    For almost a year, I worked as a Fablab Manager in a textile-dedicated third place, Sew & Laine in Bordeaux. My mission was to assist users with digital control machines: cutting plotter, textile printer, embroidery machine, and hacked jacquard knitting machine. I also organized various workshops, off-site in certain institutions: primary schools, senior clubs, community centers, festivals, and museums in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Before each type of workshop and action, there was a preparation phase: creation of graphic materials (logos, typography, signage, labels...), purchase and inventory of raw materials and tools, then preparation of scenographies according to the given spaces.
