Design of a new creative, fun, and interactive messaging service based on collaborative editing (as part of a social application with millions of downloads).

Design of a state management solution in Swift/Kotlin to stream data model changes to the UI, originating from a Rust-based collaborative editing engine. This reactive solution allows for efficient and granular subscriptions, capable of delivering snapshots/diffs to thousands of active subscribers.

Rust macros are used to annotate the data model and generate a meta-model, which feeds a custom code generator responsible for emitting the same data model in Swift and Kotlin (along with the associated reactive layer).

Development of a job manager in Rust capable of executing arbitrary background jobs on Android and iOS, then integration into the messaging service for link preview generation, parallel media transfers, native code calls, etc. All ongoing jobs resume from the last validated step upon application restart.

Contribution to backend services responsible for sending push notifications.
