Advising international PhD students and fellows at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin about academic matters within the university as well as bureaucratic matters outside university such as registering with the Bürgeramt, applying for a visa at the immigration office, submitting income tax declarations, to name a few. An integral part of my role also included translating, proofreading and copywriting for the International Scholar Services for which I received excellent feedback. I have a written reference from the Head of ISS to testify the consistently high quality of my translation and proofreading work during my time at the HU and the positive impact that it had on the service.

Advising PhD students on academic issues such as suspected plagiarism and cheating as well as matters of health and wellbeing and also covering areas such as student finance in order to assist with financial difficulties. The role equally involved writing detailed records of advice as to how the situation could be managed by the team during the academic year.
