Paulina Chaves

I am a psychologist and from my profession, I have always been interested in building work spaces that support people's growth in healthy work environments.

My gender studies helped me rethink many practices that, from academia and the workplace, we naturalize and crystallize in our daily lives. It also provided me with tools to make power relations visible, and thus incorporate practices that promote equality among all people in work and social environments.

This led me to work with vulnerable groups and their insertion into the labor market, building tools with my users for the full exercise of their citizen rights, as political actors and builders of their professional paths.

Working with people in Human Resources is always a challenge. Labor well-being begins with recruitment, onboarding, and people development. But it is also very important to ensure that the conditions and the work environment allow for healthy practices within organizations.

Teaching and research are two passions that accompany my entire professional journey, and they invite me to continuously rethink practices for continuous learning. Furthermore, in exchanges with other colleagues, bonds and collaborative work networks are woven from which I always gain new experiences and learning.
