Project: Cobaia Kitchen – AI-assisted food blog for climate-friendly recipes

At Cobaia Kitchen, I develop and test recipes that are entirely created by generative AI models. The focus is on how artificial intelligence can help design nutritionally balanced, everyday, and climate-friendly recipes – and how these dishes perform in real life.

Each recipe is cooked by me, critically evaluated, and systematically analyzed with regard to:

- CO₂ Balance/Carbon Budget: The recipes adhere to a fixed CO₂ budget per person per day, derived from the scientific target values of the Planetary Boundaries. This ensures that the meals stay within the maximum individual "food carbon budget" for a climate-compatible food system.

- A–E Climate Rating: For quick classification, each dish receives a clear A–E rating (A = very climate-friendly, E = climate-damaging). This visualization concept makes the climate impact immediately understandable even for laypeople.

- Planetary Health Diet & Nutrient Analysis: Macro and micronutrients, proteins, fats, etc. – based on the EAT-Lancet recommendations.

- AI-generated short story: Each recipe comes with a humorous, AI-based mini-story that makes you want to cook it.

- Benchmarking AI Creativity: The project also serves as an experimental platform to systematically compare the culinary and creative capabilities of different AI models – keywords: prompt engineering, model comparisons, fault tolerance, and plausibility of output.

Mission: Cobaia Kitchen stands for radically transparent, traceable, and data-driven food innovation. The target audience is curious cooks and anyone who wants to combine nutrition, AI, and climate in a scientific and creative way.

Data Scientist in the internal Data Science Expert Pool (internal and sometimes external consulting projects):

- Solution design of a database for automated GHG calculation and business travel analytics (use case workshops, collaboration with business units, data preparation, data analysis, prototype in Python, design of a data model, implementation of ELT and analysis pipelines in Azure, Power BI dashboards, guidance of junior staff, documentation for various stakeholders)

- Semi-automation of manual processes in the LkSG (German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act) risk analysis

- Literature research and preparation of presentations for a proposal in the area of Circular Economy

- Pre-processing of data and metadata, prompt engineering, creation of a vector database and literature research for a genAI project in the music industry

- Development and update of Power BI dashboards for various business units
