I was working at FranceTravail (via Capgemini) as a Microsoft Systems and Azure Cloud Engineer. 50% of my time was dedicated to production (Run) and support, and 50% to projects (deployment of new infrastructure, migration, upgrade, support for project teams). I also participated in the implementation of a CI/CD pipeline under Gitlab for the automation and industrialization of infrastructure provisioning for the FranceTravail group.

Within a Run team of 5 people, my main tasks and responsibilities were:

• Implementation of Windows Server 2019 and 2022 infrastructures

• Configuration and management of Microsoft OnPrem infrastructure services: DNS, DHCP, GPO, Filers, IIS

• Administration and management of Active Directory infrastructures

• Participation in Active Directory migration projects

• Implementation of a WSUS infrastructure under Windows Server 2022 for two subsidiaries

• Writing technical documentation: admin guides, migration plans... on Confluence

• Daily administration of several Azure infrastructures: Azure VM, Azure Storage, Azure Databases, Azure Network, Azure KeyVault, Azure Monitor, Azure App Service, Azure Frontdoor, WAF, Load Balancer

• Implementation of several Azure business infrastructures and applications:

N-tier architecture with App Service, Managed SQL databases, with L7 services (Application Gateway / WAF) behind

• Patch Management in Azure (via Update Management Service)

• Technical documentation: Writing BUILD TO RUN procedures, Technical procedures, Installation procedures, README writing

• Participation in a project to migrate several hundred VMs from the FranceTravail OnPrem Datacenter to Azure. This also involved migrating some databases and refactoring them from OnPrem SQL Server to Managed SQL Server instances (PaaS)

• Support and ticket management under ServiceNow

I worked at Pernod-Ricard as an Azure Cloud Engineer / SysOps. 70% of my time was dedicated to production (Run) and support, and 30% to projects (deployment of new infrastructure, migration, upgrade, support for project teams).

Within a Run team of 10 people, my main tasks and responsibilities were:

_ Administration of Microsoft OnPrem infrastructures: DNS, DHCP, GPO, Filers...

_ Administration and management of Active Directory infrastructures

_ Participation in Active Directory migration projects

_ Planning, study, and migration of several Windows Server infrastructures to 2022: File Services, IIS, Application Server, RDS

_ Writing technical documentation: admin guides, migration plans... on Confluence

_ Daily administration of several Azure infrastructures: Azure VM, Azure Storage, Azure Databases, Azure Network, Azure KeyVault, Azure Monitor, Azure App Service, Azure Frontdoor, WAF, Load Balancer

_ Participation in the study and implementation of a DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) on Azure

_ IaC (Infrastructure as Code) deployment of Azure services (Storage Account, FrontDoor, Automation Account, Runbooks, Azure KeyVault...) with Terraform and Azure DevOps Server

_ Scripting and Automation: implementation of several audit, compliance, and cleanup scripts for inactive/orphaned resources (operations part of a FinOps approach)

_ Monitoring: Solarwinds, Grafana, Prometheus

_ Compliance/Security: Implementation of several Azure Policies for compliance with the rules/requirements/regulations to which Pernod-Ricard is subject.

_ FinOps: Automated shutdown/restart of AKS clusters at night/weekends via Runbooks (Automation Account), Implementation of Reserved Instances (72% savings) and Savings Plans, Reduction of Azure service costs (FrontDoor, ...), Use of Azure Workbook FinOps

_ Support and ticket management under ServiceNow, and RemedyForce

I was hired at SQLi as a Systems and Network Administrator to manage and administer the infrastructures of key major clients.

Within a Run team of 6 people, my main tasks and responsibilities were:

- Install, configure, and manage Windows Server infrastructures, specifically Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS infrastructures, and also the entire GPO part.

- Configure and administer two Hyper-V infrastructures, hosting several hundred Virtual Machines

- Monitor and report on backups and restores for several services and infrastructures, such as Hyper-V, Active Directory, data and network shares...etc

- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for internal entities, particularly by email and phone. In terms of scope, I provide support for the entire Microsoft infrastructure, especially Active Directory, Hyper-V, DNS, and DHCP.

- Write technical documentation, such as installation and configuration guides for technicians, as well as incident reports.

- Support and ticket management under GLPI and Jira
