I help R&D and engineering teams solve mathematically demanding software problems where models, measurement data, numerical methods, and robust implementation need to work together.

My focus is on algorithms, signal processing, numerical methods, simulation, system identification, and technical software for complex systems. I work hands-on in Python and C++, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technical stacks when needed.

Typical projects include algorithm development, simulation and analysis software, signal-processing components, control and calibration tooling, and engineering software that needs to become more robust, scalable, or easier to integrate.

My background includes semiconductor optimization, real-time signal processing for acoustic measurement systems, MIMO control for coating processes, and technical training for engineering teams. Diagnosed a long-standing signal integrity issue in the underlying signal processing architecture. Built a stable frequency-domain formulation, validated it in Python, and implemented it to release-grade real-time performance.

Introduced CI practices and test-driven development for parts of the codebase, helping shift the team from manual validation toward more systematic automated testing and maintainable engineering workflows.

Designed a MIMO state-space controller for coupled reactive sputtering processes. Built a Python toolchain for model identification, controller design, continuous-to-discrete conversion, and automated PLC coefficient generation.
Commissioned the controller on-site at the customer facility in Malaysia. Work resulted in a patent family in DE, US, and CN, including DE102020124936B4.

Created parametric COMSOL FEM models for magnetron magnet systems — fully parameterized for magnet field optimization across system variants, with experimental validation. Replaced a less flexible legacy simulation tool.
