Lucas Jacquet

Obtained a doctorate from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Rennes in Mechanical Engineering. During my doctorate, I worked with 10 companies from the Bretagne Sailing Valley to support them in decarbonizing their activities.

At the end of the doctorate, in collaboration with an engineer, we developed an LCA tool and a database, both specific to the sector. We also led workshops with industrialists to co-create the tool in question. The database was populated through LCAs conducted for the companies.

During these three years of research, I published three articles in international peer-reviewed journals and gave four conferences to present my work.

During my doctorate, I also created an LCA & eco-design module at INSA Rennes, and took over the management of this same module at ENS Rennes.

These experiences have led me to work autonomously on the LCA & eco-design of products for about ten companies, as well as to create training modules on these topics.

The internship is part of an initiative to promote eco-design to better control environmental impacts within the Breton competitive sailing sector, managed by BDI and its Eurolarge Innovation program. The internship consists of defining the relevant scope of analysis, exploring the possibilities of using the global environmental analysis model in elementary bricks by conducting surveys with companies to collect data, analyze it, and write proposals.

Obtained an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering and Automation from INSA Rennes.
