Translation of a report on Vitoria-Gasteiz for the 2022 Tour de France (6,000 words)

In 2022, I translated approximately 6,000 words of a journalistic report about Vitoria-Gasteiz, commissioned by the Tour de France, ensuring an informative and precise tone adapted for an international audience.

This work included translating from Spanish to French detailed descriptions of the Salburua natural park, its protected wetlands (RAMSAR and Natura 2000), and the city's cultural landmarks during the Tour stage. I collaborated closely with the production team to reflect the journalistic narrative, respecting tight deadlines before the event (July 2022). My focus was on preserving the accuracy of ecological and tourist terms, such as bird biodiversity and the history of environmental restoration, while adapting the style for French-speaking readers. This project increased Vitoria-Gasteiz's visibility internationally, highlighting its relevance as a Tour host city, and strengthened my experience in high-profile translations with a multilingual focus.

I have translated and proofread around 3,000 words of content related to churches, primarily within the framework of tourism projects. This included detailed descriptions of historical architectures, accounts of local traditions, and cultural anecdotes linked to recognized sacred sites. My work involved adapting these texts from Spanish to French, ensuring authenticity while making the content accessible to a French-speaking audience. Additionally, I collaborated on the recording of audio guides, supervising the narration to ensure clear pronunciation and an engaging tone, adapted for international visitors. These recordings, used as tourist guides, covered specific itineraries, explaining the history of stained glass windows, altars, and significant events in each church. Carried out in collaboration with tourism offices and cultural associations, this task required coordination with local teams to meet tight deadlines, especially before peak tourist seasons.
