Responsibilities: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support; on-site support; supervision and training of apprentices; maintenance, repair, and replacement of hardware (servers, network hardware, storage arrays, UPS); porting VMs from a Citrix Xen environment to a newer Citrix Xen, VMWare vSphere, and MS Hyper-V environment; administration of storage systems (IBM DS Storage Arrays via Fiber Channel, SDS DataCore via Fiber Channel and iSCSI); administration and orchestration of VDI systems based on Citrix with graphics acceleration (CAD); administration and orchestration of virtual servers based on Citrix Xen, VMWare ESXi, VMWare vSphere, MS Hyper-V; installation of TSE for POS systems; maintenance of Active Directory; installation, administration, and maintenance of mail servers (MS Exchange and Lotus Notes); administration of databases (MySQL, MS SQL); porting of existing databases to other database servers; administration and configuration of Cisco ASA firewalls and Cisco Catalyst switches; administration and installation of various software, including CAD (Solidworks) and CAM (ASCO almacam); administration of backup solutions (Veeam); administration of thin client orchestration (IGEL); planning and conceptualization of new server systems; creation and updating of network diagrams; summarization and presentation of the existing IT infrastructure for the new department head; support of international locations in the USA, Netherlands, and Switzerland in the client area.
