This infrastructure enabled secure access to production environments for internal and external users and systems. My responsibilities included analyzing the existing and desired network situation, creating network designs (High- and Low-Level Designs), IP planning and management including DNS, and developing migration plans with connectivity and firewall matrices and associated test plans. I also resolved issues such as overlapping networks, retaining specific IP addresses, and analyzing unknown or poorly documented traffic flows. In execution, I implemented and configured network components (including firewalls) and performed migrations, ranging from adjusting firewall policies and routing to network expansions, network re-segmentations, and software and hardware upgrades. For projects I was responsible for, I delegated subtasks and remained available as a specialist for specific network questions after handover.Furthermore, I contributed to standardization, including developing standard templates for network diagrams, documenting management requirements, developing configuration templates, uniformly integrating network equipment into management tools, and restructuring firewall policies and standardizing firewall objects. I also supported other teams with network automation.
