At the end of 2024, I sold my apartment and quit my job at Senet to go on sabbatical for at least a year. Together with my girlfriend Simone and our camper van "Prins Knaus", we traveled through Europe for a year to go sport climbing. In Switzerland, we met our new border collie Nora. It's very refreshing to take a year off after 15 years of hard work to completely reset.

Senet is a software company that started as a secondment agency for software developers. From 2016 onwards, Senet began shifting its focus to developing custom and SaaS applications in-house. Within Senet, I worked on both custom applications and the main SaaS application, OERknal.

- Performance optimization of database requests;

- Performance optimization of permutation algorithms;

- Debugging complex bugs;

- Various complex data migrations;

- 1st and 2nd line support: responsible for the entire process of a support request, from customer conversation to solution deployment;

- Developing and code reviewing new features;

- Monitoring planning and facilitating the development team as scrum master;

- (Technically) assisting product owners in conceiving new features.

- Designing a workflow API to replace the workflow functionality in the monolith.

- Writing/updating documentation where necessary;

- Programming new features;

At the Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICSM) at TU/e, teams from various disciplines collaborate on creating artificial molecular materials. Because there are many overlapping terms between the different disciplines (biomedicine, physics, chemistry), extra explanation is often needed.

The in-house 3D animation studio creates animations that ensure all disciplines can understand each other.

- Creating storyboards and discussing them with internal clients;

- Producing 3D animations based on scientific input;

- Scripting complex particle systems in max-script;
