It hosts Wordpress sites (therefore PHP/MySQL).CentOS is no longer a distribution intended for production. A up-to-date Wordpress runs on it, including the Matomo plugin.Ultimately, it was decided to completely reinstall the server to start from a clean slate and ensure service continuity.The reinstallation was carried out with minimal downtime.

A "staging" server and a "production" server.Ultimately, it was decided to completely reinstall the servers to start from a clean slate and ensure service continuity.The site is divided into two components:- an application written in Ruby- a Wordpress.The application and Wordpress were separated onto two distinct servers to better isolate the services.I created Ansible scripts to test the server installation in a test environment and then deploy the "staging" server. Once the procedure was validated, the production server was reinstalled as two servers.The services on these servers are:- an Nginx reverse proxy- Let's Encrypt certificates- a Ruby on Rails application- a Wordpress- an FTP server- a PostgreSQL server- a MySQL serverThe reinstallation was carried out with minimal downtime.
