Goal: Reduce product costs of a major program using a Design-to-Cost approach. Success: Identified potential manufacturing cost reductions of approx. 160 million Euros (out of approx. 950 million Euros total manufacturing costs).

• Mandate as Head of Research & Development, leading approx. 250 employees at the automotive company Eberspächer in Landau/Pfalz (approx. 10,600 employees, 4.9 billion Euros turnover) – Took over responsibilities of the departing Head of R&D – Actively supported the transition of the business unit structure from a functional to a product line structure and the corresponding adjustment of the R&D structure – Strengthened innovation and patent activities – Initiated/introduced the Value Analysis approach for Design-to-Cost platform development.

• Mandate as Head of Testing, leading approx. 50 employees at the automotive company Eberspächer in Landau/Pfalz (approx. 10,600 employees, 4.9 billion Euros turnover) – Developed a new structure for the Testing department – Expanded and enhanced the department's qualifications – Changed the testing culture and error management.
