Main tasks
Porting from C to Rust of services running on Arm Linux for motorbikes (telemetry, gps, theft, trips): due to leaks, thread races, core dumps, company has decided, under my suggestions, to rewrite some C services in Rust. I've developed:
• a debug service: it takes the linux journal and send to Azure as a tar.gz via Rest using reqwest. Service is an axum server.
• Gps service: using UBlox Lena R8000 service configures the GPS, manages interoperability via zbus-rs (dbus) with other existing C services and manages NMEA sentences.
• Update service: is like a FOTA, allowing the remote update on the device of the services.
• Trip service: it gets the GPS coordinates via dbus and sends chunks to Azure portal to get the graphic trip.
Tech: Rust, Git, UML, Cargo on cross compiling, coverage via llvm crate.
