Bruno Laboudigue

After my engineering studies at ECP, which included a PhD in energy, I have dedicated the majority of my career to numerical modeling and simulation. My skills particularly cover thermal, fluid mechanics (CFD), software, and numerical methods used in simulation and high-performance scientific computing (HPC).

These skills have been applied in several industrial R&D and innovation centers, directly in projects or within the management of specialized numerical simulation teams. These management positions have allowed me to develop and maintain team skills, and to implement and evolve scientific computing tools, notably by participating in several supercomputer investment projects.

I have also provided continuous training courses in several of my areas of expertise, an activity for which I received specific certification.

In recent years, my activities have focused on original and particularly advanced CFD models in the field of multiphase metallurgical reactors, integrating work from academic collaborations in France and Sweden: development of specific user functions under FLUENT incorporating parallelization, complex visualizations under ParaView, with Python scripting, video generation, and C++ plugin development.

These latest works allowed me to achieve a world first in 2024 by successfully coupling ParaView and FLUENT, commercial software, using the Catalyst2 API for real-time ("in-situ") visualization of CFD simulations.

These skills and expertise developed throughout my career enable me to take on varied missions for my clients: from the development of advanced numerical and visualization models to consulting and support for internal teams.
