Atia Janssens

I studied Germanistik with Anglistik as a minor subject in Germany. After that, I worked in marketing until I emigrated to the Netherlands in 2016.

In the Netherlands, I then learned Dutch and completed my postgraduate studies as a teacher of German as a Foreign Language in 2012/2020.

I have worked in schools, but mainly as a freelancer. In 2022, I then emigrated to Belgium and still work as a freelance German teacher.

I give German lessons to companies that come into contact with German or German-speaking people. I give these lessons on-site or online, in groups as well as private lessons.

In this context, I have also translated and voiced documents and videos for my clients several times. For example, I transferred a video about Business English to German (e.g., making phone calls in German). For this, I had to adapt the content so that it matched the German learning content (not just translation, but also adaptation of, for example, the grammar). Following the translation, I independently created the video and recorded the audio in German. I was the one-stop shop for the complete project.
