Mission to implement FinOps strategy at Radio France, aiming to control and optimize Cloud application operating costs.

FinOps Lead Role:

o Implementation of the FinOps model at Radio France;

o Definition and monitoring of indicators (dashboards) for Azure cost control;

o Reporting to financial management for chargeback.

o Budget estimation and optimization of Cloud IS operating costs (over 40% savings achieved);

o Analysis and recommendations on CAPEX/OPEX choices, monitoring of reserved instances and Saving Plans;

o Support for business units (showback, best practices) for FinOps practice adoption;

o Facilitation of audits and subscription reviews (rightsizing, scaling, best practices, deletion of unused resources);

o Analysis of the Cloud pricing economic model and contribution to the Cloud governance model construction;

o Comparison of Cloud and On-Premise application costs.

The mission focuses on managing the obsolescence of a communication card that interfaces a GE FANUC 16M-Series machine with a laser cutting system. The work performed during the mission involved project monitoring with reporting, while acting as an interface with the client.

The project is executed using the V-model methodology. The specification document, describing the functionalities of the system to be developed, is drafted in consultation with the client. The development of the interface application between the CNC machine and the laser cutting system is carried out by the development team. Subsequently, the developed system is unit tested before integration testing on the CNC machine.
